Re: Added Piaa-4000 to bull bar
Hey Sasquatch, thanks for the piaa bolt on tip. If I had to do it again I would more likely go for those. JMK, the wiring harness that comes with them are pretty straight forward.I spliced the switch power into a wire that comes on when you actually turn on your lights at the steering wheel(I do hav...

Re: Added Piaa-4000 to bull bar
Hey Pinkfingers, don't get me wrong, I thought the same thing when I took the picture. It made me laugh when someone else noticed it :-). I agree Greenme, just takes one chip in the chrome and it rusts all to hell. I hate trying to run wires through everything, so putting them through the bars would...

Re: Delicas with winches
Great looking Delica's but I'm also not fond of how far their winches stick out. Very informative video Jesse,I'd be interested in seeing the set up when you get it done.

Re: Added Piaa-4000 to bull bar
Cardboard?.....That would be a hack job!...Its actually brown package tape that I used over the layer of rubber( to hold rubber in place temp). Firstl,I wrapped rubber around the bar , then attached the muffler clamps. So that should prevent any damage to the bull bar. The package tape is off now an...

Added Piaa-4000 to bull bar
It's been awhile since I added anything,so here is what's new. I have an up coming trip in may and we are heading back out on the highway for another road trip. So I wanted some extra light for the night time driving. I ended up with the Piaa 4000 light kit.I just mounted it today and just connected...

Re: Seat swap???
Well for my two cents I have to go with the bench seat as well. I do enjoy flipping it so we can use a table and play card's,eat...etc. Its also nice that,in a pinch, you can use it as a mattress(albeit uncomfortable). It will also come in handy at drive in movies, flip the middle seat, flatten the r...

Re: Brake upgrade?????
This site is like having a crystal ball, put a question in and out pops an answer! Nice work from Bruce there. So Jesse, what caliper's did you use? or was it the same thing that Bruce did? The mention of seizing is interesting. When I was test driving a number of Delica's,I had the great luck(or misfo...

Brake upgrade?????
Hey folks, here is a question for you all. Has anyone done a brake upgrade? A beefier setup to give more stopping power? By the way,all of you are responsible for my lack of sleep. This site and the UK site has so much information that I believe I'm pretty close to being able to build one of these f...

Re: Skid plate
Well said Jaggedfish.....tinkering is fun.Its interesting all the different ideas we all seem to come up with, in the end if we beat them all together who knows what we will come up with. Besides,if we come up with some way of protecting the underpinnings then we may prevent that great foe of many a...

Re: Skid plate
I do understand that and agree. What I am thinking is extend the template to cover and louvre the extension. Then if need be you could add a heavier gauge wire mesh in the vented holes.....maybe be an idea, I'll give it a shot and see what I can come up with! I have yet to get under mine and take a ...

Skid plate
Hey folks, haven't named my van yet(shaggin wagin seems on the list) but what I am wondering is the skid plate issue......Is there any reason that people are not taking a template off the bash plate on a lot of the Chamonix? You wouldn't be restricted to that exact shape, you could cut the shape as ...
