Agreed, in that case, it's up to you to make sure attendance is good! The problem is that even when we hold them every 6 months we still don't always have a great turn-out.

Once again the rear gate on my '91 L300 is jammed, but this time no amount of lube and coaxing will get it open (not speaking in metaphors). I brought it to the nearest Delica mechanic but they had no luck either, and they are saying it might need to be cut open, which I'd rather not do. Anyone in...

I had the same problem. You need to take the panel off and pry the latch mechanism because it slips over the other side of where it’s supposed to be. I live at main and 51 if you need a hand.

Strange topic but I was hoping to hear if anyone has experience going through an automatic car wash with their rigs. Recently moved deep into the city and common access to a hose bib has become impossible. Even a self-service is far enough away to be difficult.

My only advice here is to avoid the kind with the rollers that go up and over the windscreen and roof- they don't see the passenger side mirror on JDM 4WDs, and attempt to scrape it off the A-pillar. It's not fun to watch.

So I'm new to delica. I just bought a 94 spacegear. Super in love with it an got a screaming deal on it!
However there was some serious things needing to be fixed on it..
Found a mechanic in the Vancouver area who is very knowledgeable and comfortable with delicas..

It might help if the shop can break down the cost into parts and labour. You might feel better about it anyway. Mechanics shop rate here is over $100 an hour, probably higher in Vancouver due to rent bring higher etc. You could save some and do the easy stuff like rotors and pads yourself as well....

I do a lot of short-trip inter-urban driving with my L400, and about 6 months ago I had real issues with sluggish performance.

A DeliTune at CVI showed a couple of dirty injectors (Mardy had cleaned them when I first got the van) and after a clean she was good as new:
