After a long drive through the West Harrison FSR we found these signs posted all around Highland Valley Copper Mine.

I am pretty sure they were not intending to pick on Delicas.

Re: Help buying Delica, Vancouver
You cannot go wrong purchasing from Mardy. We purchased our Delica from him a number of years ago with periodic touch ups for spare parts. He has always been honest and straightforward with us.
Likewise cvi is second to none when your Delica needs service.

Re: roof rack/basket
Sorry the rack is gone.
A few people have expressed intrest in the rack so I back tracked until I got to the first response.
If for any reason the first pickup/drop off falls through I will contact the next in line.

Re: roof rack/basket
My original description may not have been the best. I don't know that you could separate the "basket" part from the rack.
There are three "L" brackets that come off the aluminum rails and rest in the rain gutter.

roof rack/basket
It was a dark and stormy night when I purchased a cheap, mainly aluminum rack for my then new Delica. At the time I really, really needed a rack to carry the canoe and the price was much lower than the other racks I had seen advertised on the forum. The rack in question has only been used once befor...

It has been said in other threads but I was very happy with Mardy. I would deal with him again any day.

Re: aircare
I just did my first Delica aircare this November. When we pulled up they asked me what kind of truck it was and said they "couldn't find one like it in the computer and mine was their first Delica". Although suspicious I let them continue with the test. The twit that drove the test must ha...

10% Ethanol Blended Diesel Fuel
This may not be the right place to ask this but has anyone noticed a sticker on some pumps that warns of a 10% Ethanol Blended Diesel Fuel? I was camping north of squamish and had to fill up on the way back. After I had already filled up I noticed a sticker on the petro canada pump that they were se...

Re: Factory keyless door lock/unlock remote
We have one and I have replaced the batteries twice. Around town it never works more than arms length from the truck but it works perfectly in the underground parking or a long way off the pavement. When we are camping it will work 10-20 feet from the van so I have started to wonder if it operates o...

Re: Does Your Delica Smell?
I cannot comment on the smell but we recently had our motor mounts and transmission mounts replaced and the truck is now as smooth as our 2004 (gas) toyota. The original motor mounts were a little worn and one transmission mount had just the beginnings of a tear in the rubber ring. The new mounts ma...

Re: The Delica's boat
What size outboard do you use, how do you store it inside and how bad is the smell of gas. ... Where do you carry your gas cans? I altered a delica safari rack to fit my 12 ft hard bottom inflatable on top of my deli... My May 1st fishing trip to the Thompson beckons. I'll send pictures when I moun...

The Delica's boat
This isn’t an important post but I had to do it because it just looks so funny. Only in a Delica could you fit this boat, an outboard motor, and camping gear for a long weekend all behind the seats and still have room for two kids. In another week or two the weather will have settled down and we can...

Re: Maintenance
It will depend on how you use it. We put a lot of miles on our Delica and use it for everything including camping, towing and commuting(50 minutes each way). I replaced a 2004 Sunfire with a 1992 delica and budget wise I spend $30 to $60 a month more to use the delica. This includes fuel and regular...
