L400 engine hood support

Here is the mod for lazy drivers which allows them to open/close the hood with one hand. it was posted yesterday on delicaclub.ru.

Any idea if this is an L300 or an L400 strut?

This is a Volvo strut.

Couldn't get hold of a Volvo one; bought a Subaru one before seeing the part no. posting.
No go, too long. Will attempt to find Volvo one.
