Re: HELP!!! No power and stalling
Did it smell really bad and was there a lot of smoke coming out of your rear end (er, I mean your Delica...)? If so, your turbo could have detonated. The loss of power suggests this may be the case - when mine blew to the moon, I did not stall out, but there was a considerable amount of blue/grey sm...

Re: Pelican Bay Brewery
Hey - probably would have helped if I had posted the colour of the van - it was green (on green I think) with a bunch of surf boards on top... So no - not you - and I know what you mean about the rare vehicle comments. "Is that some sort of space vehicle?" Uh - yeah, I just returned from a...

Pelican Bay Brewery
Anyone know who was in Pacific City Oregon last week? Happy to see another Delica as I pulled in to enjoy a few cold ones at Pelican Bay Brewery...

Re: Trim Level Questions
4) Manual or auto transmission (auto is faster speed and cheaper to repair /replace). I am not sure that is an accurate statement - besides - I don't think the transmission type is related to the model (although I have not seen a Royal) . A more accurate statement is that parts for autos are probab...

Re: My Bike Rack
What you can't see is the reinforcement underneath - definitely considered the potential of a mishap. I am over 200 lbs and I have jumped up and down on that 'nudge bar' for minutes at a time without it moving. The weight of the bumper coupled with the straps has me convinced that this will work jus...

My Bike Rack
A friend of mine and I came up with this for a bike rack. The rack is solid on the bumper, but to be safe, the top eyes are to attach a strap from the top of the bike rack to the hatch. Others are to bungie bikes to the rack. Removal is a cinch - just remove cotter and pin and pull the rack out of t...

Re: I like my 5-speed Delica
OK - got the MT one while heading our for a mountain bike ride - a little slow this morning. I don't think I would have got the MLB one, though!

Re: I like my 5-speed Delica
Its not different enough from 4th to even be there in my opinion. and extra 7-8km/h for the rpm or so In reading this thread it sounds like there are two different gearing options for the manual transmission. My 5th is notably different from 4th and I cruise at 110 kph at ~3100 rpm. Also - MT and M...

Re: Strange Sound
Glad to hear things are resolved. I have since had my u-joints replaced (not the cause of the sound) and a new turbo - which was the cause of the sound. All is quiet now.

Good timing! Too bad I won't be at the meet, though. Any pics? There might be a way to organize a pick up.

Home Depot does have a bulb that works - they are slightly longer, but they work just fine.
