Re: Propane injection & Bypass oil filter
Update. Yeah, I haven't been around the forum too much. Propane injection is still running fine and no; engine has not blown up! I did muck around with some settings at one point and somehow managed to stop the propane from flowing. I couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong. At that point I inves...

Re: Coolant breather plug replacement
Hi Drumster: I don't mean to hi-jack your thread but I was wondering how the P/I system has been working? Any update would be appreciated! P/I system is excellent. The difference, as I have it set up, is not huge in terms of performance but in fuel economy. There is a setting on the Powershot regul...

Coolant breather plug replacement
If you've stripped or otherwise ruined your L400's plastic coolant breather plug (above & beside battery) this is a good metal replacement. I paid more for mine at Lordco as part # ODP-00010B. It's the correct size and for our purposes, doesn't even require a wrench (don't wanna' strip the tube'...

Looking for '94 L400 side window clasp
As in title, I need the nut & "bolt" that passes thru hole in glass for the open/close clasp mechanism on side window(s). One of mine came loose and disappeared somewhere in Oregon as if by magic! As you can see I have it secured with a nut/bolt but would like the proper parts. I imagi...

Tony, by bringing common sense into a conspiracy theorist's deluded ramblings you only reinforce his belief in the impossible. It's like an atheist and a religious person arguing. The atheist is coming from a position of logic and reason, the theist is coming from a faith-based point of view. Neith...

Re: Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
How long have you lived in Canada? I have been working on this strain for quite some time. Long term Canadian residents should be immune as long as they have kept up with their booster shots. The design of this strain was to only infect new Canadians as the virus also delivers a genome payload into...

Re: Propane injection & Bypass oil filter
First thing, I went to the eCo-shot sites as I said I would and really found nothing definitive about any sort of propane to diesel ratio. Nothing. Next item: Well, I happen to be sick as hell right now and feeling like absolute crap but decided I could use a bit of fresh air where no-one could catc...

Re: Propane injection & Bypass oil filter
keep in mind that when you are testing in the parking lot by increasing the RPM will give you a very different outcome to driving down the road. the turbo will not kick in just because you are raising the rpm. its a combination of the exhaust flow and the flow created by increased exhaust temperatu...

Re: Propane injection & Bypass oil filter
Time for an update on the P/I system: With the settings I arrived at fairly early on I ended up burning just about one full tank of propane to a full a tank of diesel. Whoa! What I had done was back the propane level off to a point just short of pinging and then backing it off just a bit more for th...

Re: Something Cooking ~ On The Track.
Dude, that first one is AWESOME! Such amazing skills those guys have. Back in '85 I had an '84 Yamaha FJ1100 which at the time was arguably the fastest bike "out of the box", you could buy. The bike mags said it would do 145 mph. I took mine out on the highway from Hope to Spence's Bridge ...

Re: What percentage of heads crack?
So far so good with my L400. It had low km when I got it (53K) and was in great shape. I installed Evan's waterless coolant and snipped notches in the rad cap gasket to let it breathe. Because Evans won't boil at automotive temps, pressurization is not required and the Evans coolant is non-corrosive...

Re: Arctic sea ice likely to hit record low next week
... If I may turn this back to you, Drumster, what do you make of it? Hey Glenn, I honestly don't know what to make of it, which was kinda' why I put the question out there. Not as though what any of us thinks about these matters would really make any difference but it's pretty interesting sh!t. Od...

Pertussis (Whooping Cough)
"Whooping Cough" Anybody had this? Holy kay-rap it's really nasty! I've been under the influence of this for going on three weeks now and just when I start to think it's easing off... BANG! it jumps back to life all over again. The local lab said there was an outbreak no too long ago and e...
