Coolant breather plug replacement

Post by Drumster »

If you've stripped or otherwise ruined your L400's plastic coolant breather plug (above & beside battery) this is a good metal replacement. I paid more for mine at Lordco as part # ODP-00010B. It's the correct size and for our purposes, doesn't even require a wrench (don't wanna' strip the tube's threads too!)

Hi Drumster:
I don't mean to hi-jack your thread but I was wondering how the P/I system has been working? Any update would be appreciated!

P/I system is excellent. The difference, as I have it set up, is not huge in terms of performance but in fuel economy. There is a setting on the Powershot regulator which allows for the propane to cut in at a lower boost level but the adjustment requires some special vacuum equipment that I don't have. If that setting were adjusted the savings would also be more noticeable in town. But as it is, savings pertain primarily to highway or any heavier throttle use.
