Re: Victoria / Canmore House Swap in Early August?

Hi Christine, thanks so much for the very generous offer! I'll get in contact with you a few weeks closer to the date if it's going to work out.

My offer is still open for a Canmore mountain town swap with a Victoria area member.?.?.?.? :-) :M

What are you using for inside wheel arches?

What are you guys using to coat the inside of your wheel arches? Mine are starting to rust a little from all the stone/sand chips/salt etc....
Would a rhino liner spray on stand up very long? Was thinking por-15 but it chips too much I think.

Victoria / Canmore House Swap in Early August?

Hi all, just thought I'd post this here - would anyone in Victoria/Sidney/Sooke area be interested in a house swap with us in Canmore AB for a week in/around August 6th? We're heading down for a friend's wedding and thought perhaps it might work out with a fellow Delica.ca member. Planning on headin...

Delica Camper Chassis Code?

Hi guys - does anyone happen to know if there's a specific chassis id/code for camperized Delicas (L300s)? Searching the jdm auction sites.....

Also, is there such a thing as camperised L400s? I don't think I've seen one before.
Thanks
Steve

Kinda stranded - Won't start - Suggestions?

Hey guys, 3 years of flawless starting for my deli, but today she just won't catch. This morning had the block heater in, and I noticed it didn't start quite as smoothly as normal for a mild day like today. Drove to work no problems, then after work, lots of cranking just won't catch. If my glow plu...

Re: Running rough and making weird noise

I'd be concerened with the whining sound and esp. the vibrations - I suggest a check of your belts esp the timing and balancer belts. Pop the 'hood' and remove the plastic belt cover for a look-see. There are stories of balancer belts breaking, then f-ing up the timing belt in turn pooching your ent...

Re: Another 'what's that sound' question

Thanks Jesse,

In addition, I also noticed a couple times last week when starting, the warning lights would glow/flicker for a little bit in the morning (ie alternator issue), but only just at start up with the chirp chirp chirp - is this pretty much pointing to a belt slipping on the alternator?

Another 'what's that sound' question

Evening fellers, When it's cold out, every morning and evening when I start up the van I get a " chirp chirp chrip...........nothing........chirp chirp..........nothing.........chirp chirp chirp" coming from the engine. Yesterday evening and tonight when leaving work (-15 ish), I'm getting the chirp...

Re: right front wheel clunk

Hey fire-the way to diagnose is pretty much exacly what you described- the clunking and especially the wheel 'wobble' from top to bottom.

Re: right front wheel clunk

Check your upper and lower ball joints, you could try adding more grease as a temp fix, also check out your front sway bar bushings-easy to replace those.
From your description about the tire wiggle sounds like ball joints
