Mitsi FI goes into 1st easily when cold, but the change to 2nd is stiiff and awkward.
I have found that double declutching makes it easier.
My gearbox oil is virtually new as well.

Re: Mitsi UK
That's right,I am in UK where I am resident and on leave, but work in the Falklands for 6 months at a time. I had Mitsi FI first for a couple of years, then when home on leave I met a guy who was selling his '93 L300. She became Mitsi UK,the one in the pics. If you go back on members rides you'll find...

Re: L400s
Looks like there will be pros and cons just like in UK,I think it's whatever you prefer,I'm still a die hard L300 man
but then I never did like change and as for the D5 what an ugly piece of kit, still you won't have to worry about that for a few years yet!!!.

Re: Cold Weather Starts on a 93 or later L300
You should get a second click after a varying amount of seconds depending on the temperature outside, and then if you listen there will be more clicks as the relay cycles on/off till the sensor on the water stat tells it the engine has reached reasonable running temperature. Always have the dual bat...
