Re: Valve siezed
Thanks for the great replies. I think I would come to the conclusion the the engine was over reved. It is a low milage engine, a think 60,000. My brother is not quite used to the lack of power, and driveng from Squamish to Wistler, I think thats what did it, beating it up the hills and gearing down,...

Re: Valve siezed
No,,, the valve siezed in the head, already taken apart and fixed. Just want to know the cause, so it can be prevented from happening again.

Valve siezed
I'm looking for the cause of an intake valve siezing in the cyl. head? I am a mechanic,,,,,but don't know anything about diesel engines. On a gas pot about the only time this would happen is on a new, or like new valve to guide clearance and running an engine too lean.

Re: Rack & Pinion
That would be an inner tie rod. On 98% of the vehicles ( non Delica) it is replaceable without removing the rack. Parts availability will be the the problem.

Re: Hey
I'm sure they do OK. I am a little bit hard core. And my Blazer has to do it all for me. I weel the heck out of it, tow a 3500lb boat and a car trailer with it, and when holidaying, tow it behind my motor home. My brother is not very mechanicaly inclined, so I'm going to make his Delica more capable...

Re: Hey
They seem a bit to small, underpowered and flimsy for my wheeling. My bro loves his and works well for him.

Hey
Just joined this site to find info. My brother bought a delica and wants me to work on it for him as I'm a mechanic. So just saying Hey and look forward to learning the ins and outs of these little rigs. I have a wheeling truck my self, but its a big gas job.
