Re: L400 Injection Pump Seal Replacement ... special tool?
Just a final note on this job ... I did manage to temporarily repair the radiator. After some reading I figured out that a plastic radiator is made out of thermo-plastic ... meaning that it can be melted and re-formed. I drilled out the snapped plastic fitting so that a threaded pipe nipple (that wo...

Re: L400 Injection Pump Seal Replacement ... special tool?
OK ... so I managed to pull the injection pump. I ended up using a pipe wrench to loosen the plug I was worried about getting off ... that worked fine but in order to be able to swing the wrench I also had to remove the four connectors for the injector pipes. I replaced the seal for this plug and re...

L400 Injection Pump Seal Replacement ... special tool?
Discovered a diesel leak at the rear of the injection pump in my van (Delica L400 '94). I have managed to trace it to the plug at the rear of the injection pump (roughly centred between the connections for the 4 injector pipes). From looking at the rebuild kit for the injection pump it looks like th...

Re: L400 Bearing specifications?
There's a 3rd bearing in that area. Its a small roller type that supports the outer stub on the CV axle inside the spindle. These can get gummed up with grit when the inner seal fails ... Thanks for the information ... I am one of those who overlooked this third bearing ... by the time I saw your p...

Re: L400 Bearing specifications?
As a dumb question, how do you do those cross references? Call lordco and if they have the part in their computer they can tell you something aftermarket that's the same? That is how I started ... Lordco and Napa were not able to identify the one bearing (MR112242) or cross it to an equivalent that...

Re: Yet Another L400 Conversion
The short answer is no ... I am not sure what the amperage draw on our engine block heater is. I seem to recall when I installed the unit that it was a pretty small unit (500 watt? ... I honestly do not remember). When we do use the heater we turn it on a few hours before going somewhere, this seems...

L400 Bearing specifications?
Hi, I need to replace the front right wheel bearing on my L400 (bearings as I gather there is an inner and outer bearing on the front wheels). I tracked down the bearing size in the shop manual available on the Delica.ca site, but unless I missed out there is no part number specified (see the image ...

Re: Yet Another L400 Conversion
I have not been on the site in a long time ... just thought I would post an update about our WVO conversion. I had actually planned to put a 2nd pump in the fuel tank to assist with oil flow (as described above). I purchased the pump but never got around to installing it ... I was never really thril...

Re: replaced front shocks on our L400 ... what a difference
Drove the van on the highway during heavy winds yesterday ... the improvement in handling is impressive ... did not feel like the van was being blown around anymore! We initially decided to change the front shocks due to wear/cupping of the front tires. So far there is no evidence of similar wear on...

replaced front shocks on our L400 ... what a difference
Replaced the front shocks on our L400 yesterday ... what a difference in the ride! We were getting a slight vibration through the steering column before at highway speed and this is gone now. More importantly ... the van does not bounce badly when going over bumps (like speed bumps) at low speeds. I...

Where to get L400 fuel injectors
Hi, I want to replace the fuel injectors (referred to as fuel injection nozzles in the shop manual) on my L400 delica. Does anybody know the part # for these items or where they can be purchased? I am sure this has been asked before, but I have searched the forum and have not found anything. Thanks,...
