15" rims & 235/75 r15 tires (*no longer fs*)

Post by Jaz »

Edit: no longer for sale as the 31's I wanted didn't come through. Thanks for looking!

Hey gents,

Might have a line on some new treads for my truck, so thought I'd put these out to the Delica crew:

15" Gray toyota rims with a slightly wider offset than regular delica wheels, which will give your delica a wider stance.

Mounted on them are Hankook Dynapro AT-A 235/75 r15. As far as I know these are the same size or slightly bigger than than the regular Deli tires.

Two tires (currently the back ones) are at about 50%, while the current fronts have good tread on the outside, but the left has about 15% left on the inside and the right has minimal.

For an example of a deli wearing toyota rims, see Delicat's recent Van ad.

No longer for sale Once I have the new treads I can deliver anywhere in the Vancouver downtown to Richmond corridor, or can meet up with you in that area.

Some pics of how they look on the car:

Here's how the tires look when new:

Here's some bad pictures of how they look now - this is the front left so you can see the tread wear for yourself.

I actually have the Toyota steel wheels on my van right now - but in chrome. Delicat has (Toyota?) mags on his. I run my winter/offroad tires on these wheels. I didn't realize that they were a bigger offset.

jaz, Tontdca
These tires show as mounted reversed on the present rims. With such a unique tread pattern I wonder if the manufacturer recommends they mount opposite the "new" example shown. Normally the noisy side of such a tread is mounted inside to disperse the noise.

The tread appears to be worn excessively on the outside indicating a front end problem and junk tires. Also I'd have a tire shop check out these rims before buying them.

Interesting, thanks for the heads up Tony - these were mounted on the truck this way with even wear when I bought it, so that wear has happened with the extended use I've given them, and probably not enough care with alignments and rotation. I think I'll just switch them for some new tires rather than horse trading as I had intended to.

I'll get the tire guy to check them out and make sure that the alignment is up to scratch, as that's usually the culprit of inner wear like this.

Good eagle eyed pickup though on the reversed install, and I sure could have done with them being a little quieter on long trips to Oregon!
