reliable shop in Kootenays/Columbia Shuswap/Calgary....

We just moved to Revelstoke and are wondering where there is a good, knowledgeable shop to have some routine maintenance done? Sadly, we had to leave Glen and CC Auto back on the island and are wondering if there is anything comparable closer by? Or is it worth it just to make the trek back to Parksville/Coombs?

i was quite skeptical of the proactive auto people in calgary. they had some wishy washy reviews. but they replaced my whole engine, and not only did it make it home to vancouver island, but when i brought it in to ccauto, i had them check it over. after some general tuneup stuff, i asked what they would do next if i'd let them. they said i should have my a/c checked. it was a hot day.
so it might be worth the drive out to calgary. they did a bang up job.

This has always been a sensitive topic with the Deli owners in Calgary... I've used Pro Active Auto in the past and will continue to use them. I've experienced honesty and integrity with this company. They specialize in Toyota Diesel engines. Kirkham auto in Calgary also has great rep with the Deli owners. They do not specialize with Diesel engines.
