suspension lift kits

G'day i have a mitsubishi delica series 2 2.8 turbo and have found there is no extreme lift kits in australia does can anyone point me in the right direction a name a website? anything anywere in the world thanks :-D

What is your definition of 'extreme' ?

I think you might be better off selling your Deli and buying something a "little taller"................. :shock:

If you want to go that high you will need some very serious mods to achieve it.............

The only way you will get close is to go see an engineering company who will probably charge you an arm an a leg to design something from scratch............ :shock:

Either that or go on an adventure to japan and ask around............ :-D

I'd love to go high, just can't justify the costs............. :roll: :wink:
Got me a nice Series 2..........

you can get 5-6" of lift by doing a solid front axle from a toyota and spring over for your front and re arched lift springs for the back, its harder than it might sound, I did this for a L300 1.5years ago and it was a SERIOUS job. the wildest part was the stubby rear driveshaft with double cardin joints at each end to compinsate for the massive drop and harsh angle.
Toyota parts are Cheap and plentiful, you can also get the E-locker in them, If you replace both front and back diffs you can ease the angles on your driveshafts and easier on your wallet in the long run, try to find a High Pinion set from the wreckers, also going with Landcruiser axels is a good thing to look at as they are allready set up for coils in the front and most are high pinion, so you can cut the welds and move the coil mounts to place them where you need. or a set of dana 44s from a wrecker - Early full size bronco ones work well, as the radius arms are a Great match for length

Talk to a Serious 4x4 shop if you are looking for something, but its not going to be cheap, custom work never is..

You didn't say what you wanted it for.

Body lift for show or suspension lift for offroading ?

If you're going body lift, then go as high as you want. I've seen one's in Taiwan up to 2 feet lift.

If you're going suspension lift, then there is no real advantage to go past 3 or 4 inches on the L400.

Higher than that and your center of gravity changes to your disadvantage offroad.

are you after body clearance or ground clearance? you can only get ground clearance by putting on larger tyres through either some form of body/suspension lift or mods to guards etc?

G'day..Have you joined www.delicaclub.com in Oz.. We have a few members with 7" lift kits on their Delis. These have been bought via members in Japan and then fitted and engineer approved in Oz. There is a member in Brisbane with a 7" lift as well as Sydney. There may be more if you sus it out. Cheers..

7" makes it quite high. I thought the lifts were basically 2",4", 6", 8".
