What is this thing in the pics?

Hi

I was under the van taking a look at some other problem, and I realized that there was something else that maybe needs to be replaced.

The thing that I'm worried about looks like a rubber seal in very bad shape (it's actually crumbling). It connects the XYZ with the ABC, sorry no idea what the parts are called. Hopefully the pics will show what I'm talking about.

Rubber thing disintegrating is circled in red. ABC part is shown in a couple of pics.

the way i see is that this is the rear fan blower. the one who runs the back ac m& heater.

I would agree with Marty. I had to replace mine as it broke... smiles. The two hoses in the picture are your to and from hoses from the cooling system, which have to be pinched if you are removing the unit ~ otherwise there will be green stuff all over the floor.

And where would one find a replacement blower for here...(if one wanted to have kids without icicles forming on their noses this winter)

Nevermind...I followed advice of several other posters on other posts, and sure enough, I whacked it and it works again.

Well, I was goin to suggest try having kids in the bedroom where its warmer but.................
