I notice the 1990s have a different style of headlight than the 1991 and later. Are the lights interchangeable? For instance will the LHD E code lights the dealers are selling fit a 1990 with the old style?

The great thing about the 1990 headlights is the availability and cost. It is a very common type and readily available, upgraded halogen bulbs put out far more light then stock lamps. Having both a 90 and 91, the front end bezels are different which would require some modification to change. The mounting points appear different too.
The 90's style is great for a rugged offroad Delica, might not look as sharp but you can find a replacement light anywhere. I would like the 91 turn signal 'headlight' assembly on our 90; considering swapping my work vans (91) front turn assembly into our families 90'.
