Greetings from konadog's other half

Post by hazelnut »

Hello all fellow Delica lovers.
I am konadog's other half. This is my first post and to be honest I feel a little inadequate writing something. I don't have anything of importance to write about but I do appreciate my bus very much. It is remarkable just how much it has impacted our life in a positive way. It is the perfect work/recreation vehicle for us. We definitely have attracted some quizzical looks from fellow gardeners around town with our new pimped up ride 8-) That's kinda fun. Getting the bus also gave me the necessary push to learn to drive with the trailer for work. I was the passenger for the most part. Since we sold the truck and have only the delica, which is in my name :-) , I was obliged to drive it at least 51% of the time. That meant learning how to drive with the trailer. I was very nervous about backing up our tricky driveway; a seemingly tight squeeze between the hedge and the house. I overcame my fears and learned to use and trust those awesome mirrors on the delica. It may not sound like such a big deal, but to me, acquiring that new skill really helped me evolve as a driver and a more complete gardener. Actually, I drive even more than konadog with the exception of long trips to Victoria. Konadog came home so pumped about the ccauto get together. Dog and I tried to stay cool at home. I enjoyed hearing all about it.

Welcome, welcome, welcome, konadog's better half! So glad you introduced yourself.

Glad you're enjoying Hazel, and lucky you to drive her 51%+ of the time. How great she helped you to improve and feel more confident as a driver and become a more complete gardener. Awesome.

Hope you enjoy the community as much as konadog. :-)

Gee, I feel so welcome! Thanks for the responses :-D My avatar is actually a tatoo I recently got on my arm. It was inspired by a Japanese coin found in Hazel. Konadog is showing me the ropes on how the forum works. It's such a great tool for delica conversation and related topics. I just have to put this out there: Is the delica not the ultimate flirt mobile out there or what?! Don't get me wrong. I'm not looking to replace konadog :? , it's just that dam, being at the helm of such a cool, big strong not to mention adorable machine just makes one feel confident, capable and dare I say....sexy. Ok, maybe its a stretch and maybe I'm the only one; but I don't think so. The question always remains...is he checking out me or the bus?? I hope I didn't overstep any delica forum boundries :o

So now who gets to be on the forum, or is the computer in your name too so you get it 51% of the time too? :-)

Wow, if you're the better half, you ought to be really good 'cause Kona's pretty good to start with! Actually, we all missed you at the meet. Everybody was asking where you were (I think they all wanted to see the tat) ~ so we all can't wait to see you show up... smiles.
One thing I have learned about these rolling Motoko Kusanagi's is that you realise that you can do ANYTHING! After the show & tell I headed back to the Mainland and the next day I decided it was time for a bath! So I saddled up the Miss Lil' Bitchi and drove off to Sloquet Hot Springs all by ourselves via the Harrison West FSR and we spent a good five kilometres in 4L, often with the EEEEE brake half on. When we got there the bath was well earned for me and Miss Lil' Bitchi gets the hose 'cause she's a very dirty dirty girl!.... :?

Right! Good to have you aboard, Ma'am. Kona speaks well about you... smiles.

Falco.
