If I had one line of solid advice...it would be:
Stop thinking and go buy one. You won't regret it if you buy wisely.
:) Seeya on the backroads!

I have to agree - just get one . I researched (minutely) to get to know what the van was all about in week 1. End of week2 I test drove the one that caught my eye and put money down. End of week3 I paid for it and drove it home.
This forum, and meeting at 'meets' - and other owners who you attract because you I've one - is where I'm learning about my van.
In the mean time - I find every excuse to drive it

I'm pretty certain that was not an option package available from the factory. That being said, neither was the hardwood steering wheel I've got fitted in the Moon Machine. I suppose you could get leather fitted on the seats - wouldn't want to think of what that would cost.captaincanada2010 wrote:...I havent seen a delica with all leather interior yet, such a thing?...

speaking of seats, I'm thinking about trying to lower the drivers seat an inch or 3 so I can see traffic lights with out craning my neck. And while I'm at it I'm going to see if it would be possible to put an extension in the seat back to raise it up a bit so the top of the seat doesn't stop in the middle of my shoulder blades (probably a little lower than that). I already have a plan to add a new notch to the head rest so I can raise that so I don't snap my next if I get into an accident.

Are you just going to sit on the engine block? The seat is already bolted to the engine bay, so unless you are going to pull some stuffing out of the seat cushion I don't see how you're going to 'lower' the seat.
Wait a moment: what about a racing seat? With a five-point harness?
I too find the windshield not 'high' enough. Let me know what you come up with.

Ya I haven't seen much room to move but I'm sure there are some clearances I can reduce a bit, I was thinking of bending the feet on the bottom of the rails and/or lowering the floor a bit in the right spots (read hit it with a big hammer, gently :)) I still need to take the time and look closely at it though.

That would be the best Delica modification ever. I will definitely be a follower of that project! (1-3 more inches of "clearance" before the top of my cranium impacts the ceiling on those "OOOpS- too fast!" bumps would be great too!)loki wrote:I'm thinking about trying to lower the drivers seat an inch or 3 so I can see traffic lights with out craning my neck.
