First 200kms in 4x4

Post by Sailing Deli »

Well thanks to you all and your great site I bought my first Deli last Saturday in a great snowstorm. Got it from 5 Star Auto Sales in Parksville and couldn't be more happier with the service I got from the whole VanRoie family who also took me to meet Glen of Coombs Country Auto Service who answered any question I had a few days before. So I left Parksville with a few inches on the ground and by the time I got home to Campbell River there were more than 9" and I was still going great. That nite I couldnt stay home of course, had to go see what she would do, I never did get her stuck, I couldnt even get her to spin a tire going up some steep hills in town. I am amazed at these vehicles and one very happy new owner. Under the snow is a 91 Super with Crystal Lite roof.

4wd the whole way, I only did see one sander on the highway and of the 7 crashes I saw 6 were 4x4s. Watched a guy in front of me hit a meridian sideways and by the way his wheels were spinning, he hadnt locked his hubs, woops lessoned learned.

One question I have is how long before I dont have the wipers going turning a corner? :?

Yes it does and I kinda like not getting out to lock the hubs like my last vehicle(F250).

umm.. LSD? :-D

very nice looking deli.. I think the white ones are the nicest looking. Enjoy the snow, they handle like a dream when the roads turn bad, just leave lots of room to brake as they are heavy and slide for a year when it is slippery.

That happens to me too, but only on left turns! I also got my van from Five Star. I think they must be screwing up the linkage or something during thier pre-sale service since you are having the same problem. I was going to call Jack and complain, but it seems to have worked itself out. Strange thing though--I drove my wife's LHD subaru yesterday and it seems to have developed a similiar problem--only on right turns! Frankly, I'm stumped! Maybe too much LSD!
