Westfalia Fridge, Sink, Stove cabinet...

Post by philmeup1 »

Supp folks..

So I successfully installed the Roof Top Tent last weekend with the help of a really tall buddy. Man, it's a loooong way up there!!! It's actually to the point where I'm going to have to exercise some self regulatory skills when it comes to drinkin and climbing up there to sleep. Yikes

But I'm going all in at this point and have already sourced a Westy cabinet for the interior. Not sure how it's going to fit but I've seen at least one other member who's done this same conversion and it looked pretty good. To have it operating on propane, it should be vented outside. I'm not crazy about cutting a hole in the side of my van.....Now being mechanically declined, I'm wondering if it could be vented any ther way, like through the floor?? I'm guessing no as heat rises....

Then there's the issue of an outside plug so there's power to the interior. Again, requires cutting a hole for this...

Anyway, if anyone has done anything creative with this type of stuff, I'd appreciate your input. Seats are easy to put back if you remove them. Cutting holes in the side of the van is an entirely different story....

The Winnebago is going as soon as I get it out of storage and it sells,, fingers crossed 8-)

Cheers, Phil

If the furniture blocks any of the windows perhaps you could remove the glass and insert a wood/metal substitute and put all the holes you need through that.

The gods would not make grinders and hole saws if they did not want holes in vehicles....

That's a good idea..... Never thought of that. I really do prefer mods that can be put back to original if desired.

Cheers
