the lower pipe on my L300 radiator was developing a slow leak. I tried to find a replacement part for it but to no avail. As I was told, its not replaceable and so I had to replace the whole rad. Is this really the case? And if the part can be repaired/replaced, is anyone looking for a plastic rad. Willing to let it go cheap.

Re: plastic radiator
Who told you that you couldn't find a bottom hose for your rad? That is what you call "horse feathers". Keep your brass copper radiator, it's way better than the plastic/aluminium ones. Usually the rad hoses come in pairs (bottom/top). When I did mine six years ago they were $60.00 for the pair, don't know what they are now. You can get them at Rising Sun Auto Imports; Rocky Mountain Imports; CVI; CC Autos; Amazing Autos; Maximum Overdrive; Japanoid ~ heck, I think you can even get them at Lordco. Take a look into "Delica FAQ Section", you'll find it in the board index under "Delica Canada Technical". In there you will find many useful bits of information.tomorrow66 wrote:... One other good link for you is this one, which is found in Member Introductions: ~Welcome to Delica Canada: Read This Before You Do Anything.

Re: plastic radiator
If the plastic pipe on the lower rad tank is cracked then you were advised correctly.
The rad is pooched and a replacement is required. Doing a patch repair on a plastic rad tank is possible but it doesn't always hold and you would have to fix it yourself because rad shops won't do it...at least not the ones I called when I cracked my top tank.
There is a guy in the UK who makes Delica and Pajero rads out of aluminum...TigWeld4U. A bit more than a stock unit in cost but they are nice and do offer better cooling capacity due to their larger size/volume.
