E & H Trailer Hitch

Post by philmeup1 »

Supp folks,

I purchased an E & H Trailer Hitch a while back and I'm now just getting round to having it installed. I'm from Ontario and drive a '93 L300.

The hitch looks very well made however, it came without instructions for install. I work at a high scholl and I'm going to have the Auto teacher do the install with his students. Anyone have advice on this proceedure?? We're both guessing it'll make sense when it's all laid out ...
Well we're hoping anyway:)

Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers, Phil

I have an E&H hitch. Unbolt the old bumper and bolt on the hitch. Use Grade 10 or 12 bolts. I would paint the hitch with rocker guard, or something durable, or bead blast and powder coat it. My hitch ended rusting out in a couple of years, so I had to drop it down, remove the rust and powder coat it!

Thanks man. It came with all the hardware I need and it came painted up too. We started the install today at school and with the help of a savvy student, figured out how it goes on. I think it should be fully installed tomorrow by the end of the school day:)

I'm in Peterborough not quite 2 hours north of Toronto. I believe I'm the sole Delica owner in my city..... And now with a trailer hitch:)

Heh...I just moved here (VanIsle) from Trenton. Early last spring, we came across a gentleman in Bloomfield driving his L300, so you're not alone.

Yeah, I met that guy when I was there touring around this past summer. Followed him home right to his driveway in my buddy's Westfalia. He came from Vancouver with that van. Nice guy

A Delica owner in Ontario? He's probably used to it by now.

I was thinking the exact same thing after we talked to him, CREEPY!!! But he turned out to be a regular old Delica owner just like myself and not "creepy" at all.... LOL
