Delica doesn't take time to shut off after turning key

Post by Smellica »

Hi-

I'm driving a 1996 Jasper. I took it to a mechanic and had the solenoid and oil pressure sensor replaced. It starts and runs like a champ but now I lost that bit of delay/winding down after turning key to off position. Would this problem have something to do with the solenoid? Any info is appreciated as I'm all the way out in Southern NB and I'm the only delica around.

Cheers

Sounds like you had a turbo timer which has now stopped working!? A stock vehicle has no delay before turning off.

Back of the injector pump has a fuel shut off solenoid (not sure what solenoid the mechanic changed) that could be slow cutting the fuel (you can only turn off a diesel by: removing fuel or air or blowing it up....
