Alright Delicans, I need to buy or borrow a set of wheels for my L300. I just drove the Langley and back again for a set that didn't fit. Should have confirmed the hub size.
Here's the deal:
Painting the Delica, the wheels must be black.
I have a set of 5 chrome Toyota steel wheels which I would sandblast, prime and paint. So I need 4 wheels to put on the van for the duration. Ideally with rubber on them already. So, #1 option cheapo Deli wheels with cheapo rubber on them, sell me or lend me.
UNLESS
I can find a set of wheels that are a better choice for painting, then I'll just put the uber strong Toyo wheels to use elsewhere. #2 option - sell me some badass wheels for painting.
OR
If I find a set of appropriate wheels already black, my life is made that much easier. #3 option - I buy black wheels.

Why don't you just by the standard black craggar wheels (wagon wheels) that everyone has (the ones with the blue and red pinstripe) they are only $85 or so each.... Probably almost the same as painting. And sell your other rims?

A-Scott in Surrey has tons of sets of rims in the back. They go for about $15-$25 each. Most of the sets are 4 , the odd pairings with a huge selection of 1 offs.
By the time you realize that my signature has no real message or life altering words of wisdom, you're too far into it to stop reading until you are finished

Summit Racing has wheels for about $75 each. However, since I am already painting the vehicle and other pieces, the paint cost is nil.Raule Duke wrote:Why don't you just by the standard black craggar wheels (wagon wheels) that everyone has (the ones with the blue and red pinstripe) they are only $85 or so each.... I have a few lines on cheap rims however I would then have to pay to move my good tires around.
My primary goal is to get a spare set to use while I'm prepping and painting the Toyo wheels. They will be masked; its just something to roll the vehicle around on.

I meant to tell you you could borrow my summers (but they are around 31.5 and my fenders are trimmed to clear them so I figure they will not work for ya)
If you do borrow them I have to put my kids bed on blocks that is funny

I have a set of 15" rims that came on my L400; not sure if they would fit, but they have Kumho summer rubber 235/75R15 on them; you are welcome to borrow them as they are currently occupying a corner of my folk's shed in Cloverdale.
