Lifted?
I bought this L300 in the spring. Have a look at this photo and tell me...has the rear been lifted? Or is this stock, how much the back end is raised up?

Re: Lifted?
It looks pretty stock, you'll want to crank the front torsion bars to level the vehicle out. It's common for these vehicles to sag in the front due to the extra weight (60/40 weight distribution). If there are no shackles in the back you can be pretty sure it hasn't been lifted unless the leafs have been re-indexed or had an extra leaf added.

Re: Lifted?
I agree, torsion bars on the front probably need adjusting. Had the same thing with my van when I bought it early this year. Took it to CVI and Butch levelled her out in a couple hours. It definitely doesn't look lifted.

If you crank up or re-index the torsion bars to level it out, make sure you get a wheel alignment done.

Re: Lifted?
One of the first things I had to do with mine. This should help you get her levelled out for you...

Re: Lifted?
I tightened the torsion bars today, and it raised the front about 20mm. It really improved the ride and handling!
I noticed that the driver's side is considerably 'spongier' than the passenger side. Which makes sense; there's always a driver, but not always a passenger, so it gets worn0-in more. Pushing on the bull bars, I can get the driver's side to bounce way more, and it takes longer to stop bouncing.
Does anyone know about adjustable shocks? I've got red and white shocks with little 4-position adjustment knobs on them. I forgot to check today, but next time I'm crawling around I'll make sure they're all set the same.
Another question: when I bought the van, the tires are a little worn on the outside edges, especially on the rear tires. It doesn't seem to be getting appreciably worse, but then again I've only put on 8000km this summer. Do you know if this wear on the outside edges of the back tires is consistent with the torsion bars being out of adjustment?
What I mean is, if adjusting the torsion bars necessitates a wheel alignment, then torsion bars that sag heavily after an alignment cause uneven tire wear. If I'm lucky, tightening the torsion bars will put the suspension back towards where it was when the alignment was done. And I will get to ride these old tires 'til spring, then get 4 new ones and do the alignment then.
Asked another way: what kind of tire wear should I be expecting after raising the front end without doing an alignment?
