Weird electrical issues appeared

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Must be a problem with the DRL module...so where is that little bugger located?
DRL is not a factory option, it was installed after the vehicle got to Canada, and as such there is no "standard" place, or type of module.
My importer used a simple fuse wired directly on the column switch inside the steering column, I have since replaced this with a pair of standard automotive relays (still inside the steering column) some importers use a box under the dash somewhere instead.
If yours isn't behaving itself, there is a good chance it's a shoddy installation, so look for something that doesn't look stock.

I have a switch problem as well, in my "trouble shooting" I ditched the DRL all together. It was behind the right headlight bucket/bezel. The wires were spliced in at the base of the steering column where the wires enter the dash. I cut out the wiring and threw the damn module in the trash. I also found the "lighting" wire at the fusable link (mounted on the battery positive) was well cooked and brittle so I cut the wire back to good copper and spliced in a new section with new connectors. Just waiting for a switch from Glen now. I have to turn on the fogs to turn on my running/dash lights and the headlight switch to turn on....you guessed it the headlights and also activate hi/low beams.

My 94 Jasper came in with running lights and dash lights connected to the Fog Switch??? I still use the headlight switch for hi/low beams but that's all. The green and white running light wires go through the Fog light switch and looks "factory"? I had to disconnect the fogs so I can use just the running lights with the headlights..... What did you guys figure out? Is it a bad combination (Headlight/turn signal/wiper) switch assembly? I'm not sure why the running lights go through the fog light switch? Weird Weird Weird....
So, I got a problem combination switch from CCA to see if I could fix it. I disassembled it part way and cleaned all the contacts. I sub-ed it into the Jasper and it did the same thing.... no running lights but hi/lows work.. Since I have 3 Delicas in my driveway (Two are for sale) I sub-ed it into the other Delica and the bad switch is not working for running lights!!! Same as the one in the Jasper SO, the combination switch I got to fix has the same problem as the one in the Jasper!! Aha! Seems these combo switches have some issues..
I am currently rebuilding the one I was given from CCA and will let you know how the project goes. If I can refurb these combo switches, you might not have to fork out that$350.00 for a new one...

Please stand by...

Cheers all

The fog light switch should activate the fog lights as well as all the running lights and dash lights.
the head light switch should activate the headlights as well as all the running lights and dash lights.

So it sounds like the fog switch was working fine, but you may have an issue somewhere else.

Yip, your right. I just researched that point. Thanks for the reply.
I'm going to take apart the Combo Switch again and try to rebuild it.
Thanks for the info..

Cheers.

I just started having issues with my switch as well. I can't turn on my running lights, the little lever in the switch is working because it turns on the headlights when the van is off. However I don't get any running lights or dash lights. For now I have unplugged my foglight bulbs so I can use that switch to turn them on. TardisDeli I would like to know what wire you used to run the toggle switch. Was it just one wire from the steering column and then the other side of the switch was just to ground? And do I have to add any additional fuses?

I just took my switch apart after wresting with taking the steering wheel off and just about lost a lot of little parts forever. When I pulled apart the board where the slider sits it was covered in muck, so after cleaning it and the sliding switch everything worked great!
