Re: New in Calgary
Congrats on getting a Delica, and welcome to the forum. Keep an eye out for more Calgary-area Delica meets. What part of town are you in?
Pro-Active (around 29st and 32 ave in NE) has worked on my Delica, and is recommended by my importer. They know Delicas. I took mine there for the timing belt and some other Deli-specific stuff.
Also, my regular mechanic, Kirkham Automotive (near Heritage and Macleod SW) who worked on my Caprice for 10 years, isn't scared of Delicas. They don't do diesel or turbo, but they'll do anything else. You might have to supply specs (e.g., numbers for wheel alignment) or parts. But they'll try, and they'll also tell you if they can't do it -- they don't just try something, botch it up, and say sorry like too many garages. Feel free to call them and use me as reference (just say Delica and the guy who had the mothership. They haven't worked on mine yet, but they have worked on Green1's.
