What are you using for inside wheel arches?

Post by snelson »

What are you guys using to coat the inside of your wheel arches? Mine are starting to rust a little from all the stone/sand chips/salt etc....
Would a rhino liner spray on stand up very long? Was thinking por-15 but it chips too much I think.

por-15 doesn't chip. it's a flexible paint

I pressure wash it and then let it dry out
get out all the rust first
once dry i coat it with generic undercoating . usually 2 cans will do 3 coats on the four wheel wells

a single or double coat will not do much

:-D

Just make sure you don't spray undercoating ontop of rust no matter how little. The rust will spread faster and eat away on the inside.

And no matter what.. each spring you will see where it has worn off.
Simply get rid of the loose stuff, get rid of the rusty spots and put it
back on again.
I've tried all sorts of stuff but unfortunately the gravel roads I drive
on play havoc with it.
