Maybe I have an answer for my fuel consumption. I realize monday by the smell of heaten brake that both of my front calipers where stuck. I lifted the truck and wasn't even able to spin the well by hand. Today I fixed the problem by changing all boots and seals of the calipers(bought parts from Mitsubishi Montero 1991 to 1999, easy to find at a Mitsubishi dealer). So I hope now that my fuel consumption will improve a bit. Maybe I will be able to check that only next winter to compare consumption during cold temperature.
Cheers

Re: L400 fuel consumption
I have had the Delica for 18 days now and have noticed a bit about consumption of diesel. When I use shell premium diesel I only get about 400km to the tank and not much noticibly different performance - but it seems to chug through it. Cost is generally 3-4 cents more a litre. When I use regular old shell diesel I can get about 450-475km per tank. Performs about the same as usual. I have just adjusted my tire inflation (40psi) to see if that makes a bit of difference. I run a diesel conditioner that I got from Mardy. Anyone else think that "premium" diesel is kind of a scam? Oh yeah - one more thing to vent about, Here in Leduc all the service stations have started charging to use their air pumps! Whart a crock. It was $1 at 7-11 and 0.50 at shell but if you ask nicely and offer some sort of sexual favours they would give it away for free. I really hate how dependent we are on gas/service stations. They seem to be able to take any liberties they want whilst bending you over.
