Re: North shore meet
i think i might be inclined to drink a pint or two ,let me know the date and ill do my best to make it happen,,or bythe words of Stompin Tom ,to it and at it ,at it and to it, because if you dont get to it you wont get at it again.
I am stable in most situations that I have no reservations in stormy conditions.

Re: North shore meet
hey guys, i'd love to join you... if its ok to not be from the shore that is. I went to cap college so i'm basically a resident.
I love the idea of tossing a disc around... and of course i'm not against having a drink or two either. Anyone think they'd be interested in doing this on saturday and making this http://www.delica.ca/forum/ivoac-car-sh ... -1170.html a part of it. couldn't hurt tp have a bunch of delis there for a bit.

Re: North shore meet
I'm in for this Sunday or next Sunday...a little confused though (doesn't take much these days!) - what date were you hoping for Matt? Panorama is quite busy for parking depending on the weather and time of day. Ambleside has more room - and we could still cruise the low road over to the raven - or just end up anywhere inbetween.....how setting a meeting place first - then decide where to go after once everyone's there???

Re: North shore meet
Hi gang!
Oh Look! I found the posting about North Van Delis! The trick is to actually look. My bad.
So, to paraphrase my previous, poorly positioned post, I would propose that we just choose a spot and a recurring date. For example, if we said, the Black Bear, the last Tuesday of every month, people could come whenever they can make it. We'll eventually all get to meet each other. The Black Bear offers a couple of advantages:
There is a LOT of parking out in front so we could all park out by the street, all together for dramatic effect and as well, you could just drive by to see if anyone else is there yet.
The food at the Bear is pretty darned good. Pricey but good.
It wouldn't be as long a walk home as say, The Raven if you got fully emancipated and couldn't make the climb up to that high seat.
Its close to Mark (Member #1, Forum administrator and local Deli celebrity) so he could come. Ironically, Mark doesn't currently have a Deli but its OK 'cause he could walk from his house.

Re: North shore meet
Hi Adam,
I thought you had migrated to the Cohonies... er Colonies... Kokanies or something? Big Spoons? Some where mountainous and wintery? Are you back in town? How's your dog?
And that brings up another question; How many of you North Van DOGs ( that's Delica Owners Group ) have dogs ( who would be DOG dogs BTW ) ?

Re: North shore meet
i'm back. I was just gone for the summer, and whenever I can get the spare time and the money to get back there haha. I am back in town now and my pup is doing great. she had a little trouble adjusting to a new environment and took to howling. The neighbours loved me for the first few nights. Just got her spayed on monday though so shes got that awful lampshade on. But I think she's healing well and totally ready to start running again. I love running her beside my bike, but I can't wait to build a city sled so she can just pull me everywhere, Just have to wait until shes full grown so as not to mess with bone development pulling my beer belly around.
Back to the topic, i'd come out and say hi whenever I can. Monthly is good.... you could even change the location up, maybe this is something that should be adopted for all lower mainland delis...
time to go feed the puppy.

Re: North shore meet
I like adams idea.im deffinatly down in the city for the weekend of the 28th(next weekend)for a camping trip, but if we all met up then thad be sweet too.theres a couple places in deep cove i think i could sneek into with a friend(previously names spenny).
i was also wounder, how many people do u think would come liek 8 or a whole bunch,i know theres a couple up here(whistler)that if i see i could tell them about it,i dont knwo if every one is on the forum or not.we should deffinatly go to a place with a big parking lot so we can show them all off.you always see those big porche conventions and how cool it looks...and i dont htink im ever gonna have a porche so heres the chance!
(i was wou8ndering if u knew it was me adam)
