Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Takes patience to figure out how to pull apart - without breaking things. Most of the vents/switch assembly-trims pop out (careful not to scratch or break) and the rest is screws/bolts. The Fluorescent light unit took a bit of time to figure out (and now I don't remember, but could check again if you have specific questions). Once a piece is off I replace the screws and bolts in their original holes so I don't forget where they came from - or lose them! I'm not sure if it's worth all the effort - not much you can do to fix (without replacemen parts) unless you're a McGyver, and then I'm sending you my broken parts!

Is it possible to go the route of not fixing the automatic shades, and rather convert them to manual? Just so I can open and close them by hand... does this seem possible?

I can't wait to see how this all turns out! Good luck Redmond.

Maybe if it's possible, I'll attempt it before the summer sun returns.

I think it is possible, and I may go that route as mine break (I'm lucky to have only one cable on one blind broken). In the manual there's a drawing of what looks like a manual version - pull the shade to a hook on the van body under the window. The shades are on spring (retractable like a blind) but do not lock - thus the hook on the van. I'll hava a look tonight at home.
