There has not been a huge response to this thread and due to the high cost of running this event I have decided to scale it down a little.

Have we established a date yet? I heard the number 14 mentioned but with no confirmation or decision.

There has not been a huge response to this thread and due to the high cost of running this event I have decided to scale it down a little. Rather than setting up the shop with all the usual displays and vehicles I have discussed with other Delica.ca members about making it a Delica meet and camp ?? We have a large field at the back of the shop that could be used for a camp site and after discussions with others we could throw this open to anyone looking for a weekend getaway to the island to mingle with other delica owners and have a beer ?? Any feedback to this idea would be appreciated .
The best weekend for this looks like the 14th of August. Its not worth going to all the trouble of setting up this event for the six people that responded on this thread. We can still open up the shop and have some question/answer sessions for anyone interested. But instead of a coffee in hand a cold beer seems some how more inviting !!!

Maybe if I could have kept this in the general discussion thread where it was originally posted more people would have been aware of this event and responded. It is put on for the benefit of Delica owners in general as there is no profit made from this event. Shame that someone had to complain about the place it was posted and get it moved to a place that is not frequented by the majority of owners. .
I know that Marameisto is coming for a beer !! or three !!

We'll be there for sure, and may even partake in a couple cold ones if you twist our rubber arm.

We'll be there for Friday, staying for Saturday as well.
