Shared Workshop

Post by RichD »

So I'm looking to rent a recreational (i.e. Delica tinkering and other projects) workshop space in the Burnaby/Vancouver/NorthVan area and I'd like to know if anyone else is interested in pooling resources on this.

I did some research and the cost to rent an appropriately zoned garage with high doors, parking, an office and facilities is way lower than I thought. Renting a private garage is a dollar a square foot on average, with many restrictions. Most commercial garages are going for less, all included.

I'm looking to do something somewhat informally related to Delica club activities, and would ambition to eventually host some meets, which is why I'm posting here. Comments, ideas, interested parties?

This is an excellent idea and something that I believe will be invaluable to many delica members.

I'm not sure if I can contribute $ wise, however I would definitely contribute time, knowledge and hands on for any delica-related things.

If I can help, I will. :M

Any more progress on this? I'm really looking for a spot with lift access for future repairs, mods, or general maintenance.
