WOW I LOVE THIS VEHICLE

Post by Pravin »

Okay,

We own a 2004 Sunfire with only 30,000 KMS, but we wanted to have a second child and there was no way two baby seats were going to fit in the back. I am not much of a family wagon guy nor do i have need for a SUV. The delica was ahhh just right for a fella who used to troupe around deserts and the occasional war zone helping out with humanitarian assistance.
So I picked up my Delica a few weeks ago and already I am simply amazed.

Sunfire is getting ready to be sold (any takers out there?) and the Delica is our new Jolly green bus.

The first weekend we had it, the delica proved itself in terms of allowing us a greater family connection. My own family unit had planned a camping trip and the night before my wife's little step brother and sister were at a loss for the weekend because their dad had to leave suddenly and the rest of the family had already left the mainland (we live in Vancouver. So we just packed some more gear and headed out. The dirt roads simply slipped by and we got where we were going up some very steep hills through the forest no problem. We had a GREAT weekend and so did the kids since they were able to come along.

The Second weekend my friend (he has a Delica too) and I - took my delica up to a mountain wilderness area that we had visited over many years ago before in working to get it designated a wild spirit place. We had heard that the last few years of absence of people had caused a lot of the logging roads to fall apart and access would be expected to be difficult and uncertain.

Enter the Delica. We headed out and following roads that had turned to rivers found that most of our old camp place was now underwater.

Nevertheless we got to visit a couple of 1000 year old trees hidden away in the forest. On our way out we noticed that the road from our camp had river on both sides and a four foot hole filled with water eating away half the driveable road.

It looked like we may be one of the last group of people in the place that we had enjoyed for many a summer.

What can I say. I hope to continue this love affair.

At present am planning a trip down to Burningman to see how our jolly green bus will fare in the desert.
