Airbags?

Post by tashi »

Does anyone know when the Delicas became available with front airbags?

Should I mention it? What about HiAces, does anyone know when those started to have airbags?

Airbags don't kill people, people kill people

Airbags were basically a US requirement because they crash test all vehicles with NO seatbelts, so in order to pass the tests airbags were the only thing that improved safety ratings. That's not to say they are totally useless, but unless you break the seatbelt law regularly you really don't need airbags.

Our L300 has 2 airbags, don't know when they started to install them.

Oh, a 2001 L300? Nice. I wasn't sure when L300 was discontinued in favor of the L400. I like the looks of the L300 much better and am saving up for my 2nd rig. That'll take a few years though, glad to know I have time.

it basically never was... though after about 1994/1995 with the introduction of the L400 the L300s stopped coming with all the "toys" that we're used to and were much more basic models, the L300 continues to be popular in many parts of the world

Our L300 is indeed the basic model and was available as 2 seater or 5 seater doublecab only.
