prospective deli owner!
prospective deli owner!
Hi all, Ive been on the site for a few weeks now and finally am going to take the plunge and buy my first deli. There is one that I have found that has all the things i'm looking for as far as features and condition go. My only fear is the hi 175k. The asking price is $12000, I'm curious if any of you feel that this is too high? :D

I bought mine with 89 000 km for $8000. this was in october, and I guess it wasn't in perfect shape.
I think if the engine is treated right it will last WAY longer than 175k, I g uess they aren't really tested with high milage yet considering I haven't seen one on this site over 200k yet, but a little diesel like this should go forever. However I think you can get a lower milage unit which should have less wear and tear than the model you are looking at for the same amount of money. I personally love the look of the pre 1990, and it runs just the same. newer models get more expensive for what I consider the same ride, then again, its all the same when your bumper is zip tied together right? If you want a show car spend the 12k and get a nice looking 92. If you want function and something you aren't as hesitant to use to its full potential look for an older ride. Just my advice. I'm 20 and maybe don't quite see the value in not using it to its full potential yet.
Enjoy whatever you choose.
