Choosing a different color???
I'm having some thoughts about changing the color of my Delica.
It currently is the light blue/white combo.
i'd like to change the blue to a metallic light green.Theres a guy here in Nanaimo who can do that for about $1500.
Waste of money?ugly color?
What do you guys think?

I say go for it, make it your own, its sure alot cheaper than buying another one just for the color, especially the way the prices of them is going up in japan from our demand.
Its your ride and make it into something you will treasure and that makes you want to sit on the lawn and just stare at it and say WOW thats awsome and its mine..... my $0.02
Just be carefull, jail time is also a posiblity.................. if you paint and fall more in-love, the first person you catch opening their beaters door into your wet sanded paint with 2 coats of clear. you WILL want to do them some damage lol

Paint Matching
Just visit VIDEL Automotive supplies on Barons Road in Nanaimo, near Mad Max, and they will match it with their computer, and sell you touch-up bottles or spray cans to match perfectly.

Hello,
Thanks to the Aussie site, there is a list of paint codes in the FAQ Here: http://www.delica.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=575
If you look between your shins when you're sitting in your Delica, there is a small flap of carpet you can lift that has a metal plate beneath. Stamped on that plate is your chassis/body code and your paint codes. Match the codes, get the number for your colour, and you're off to the races!

Color is a great way to personalize your ride! Docsavage has a cool scheme for his rig.
And a Frybrid system doesn't cost anything (really) in the long run, so you can't compare it; it's a very exciting when, say six months later, you realize you have paid for your WVO system in dinodiesel savings. It is having your cake and eating it too, it just smells like a McDonald's kitchen.

Vehicle colour is always the best way to express oneself. As BCDelica says I am planning a out there colouring. I am planning an dark olive drab - I guess military green - with limo tint windows, black anodized aluminum bull bars, roof rack, ladder, and 16" rims. On the doors will be the club Canada Flag/Mitsu logo. I guess it will look militaristic, but in a subversive manner. Only thing is going to the US could be problematic.
Here are the rims (bloody long url):

On another thread - I plan to move the AT cooler and AC radiator into the bullbar and build the appropriate protection there - I already have to many bent fins on the rads to leave them where they are much longer.

James,
Nice rim choice, did you see my rim pic (in the Wheels and Tires post)?
See ya,
Josh

Make a template, I remopved my steps and was looking at those rads, and trying to decide where to place them... I was thinking the same idea. Maybe I could copy you? Anyhow, I will be in your area early/mid july, want to do some 4x4ing? Maybe some modifying of our rigs?docsavage wrote:On another thread - I plan to move the AT cooler and AC radiator into the bullbar and build the appropriate protection there - I already have to many bent fins on the rads to leave them where they are much longer.

I'm not sure which of those greens it will be. Does anyone have paint swatches to post with the colours
Josh,
I saw the rims - they will look sweet. I'm just getting into the bullbar planning stage. I will keep posting as I make progress. Let me know when your through again, love to go out and play.
