We found out last weekend while camping that they are needed. Our van has the metal sliding tracks, so we are just looking for the plastic (assuming they are plastic) pieces that get sewn onto the curtains.

)Bought mine in Home Depot on Cambie/2nd. Not exactly the same as the originals, but fits perfect as well.nvanadm wrote:I'll have to try fabricland as I went to Home Depot today and they didn't have them. Mardy said he has some too, so if I don't find any i'll just get them from him.
My wife came up with an AMAZING idea and if it works we will post some pics.

The van is in for servicing right now at CVI and we just finished them the other night, so i'm not too sure how bright it is during the day with them closed. They are white, so i'm sure it's not going to keep much light out, but fortunately for us we sleep while it's dark out so it shouldn't be an issuefexlboi wrote:Great work guys!!
Don't know why you couldn't find the sliding hardware. As I mentioned HomeDepot (2nd/Cambie) has them for sure.
Anyway, how bright is it inside the van on a sunny day with close curtains? Just wondering, because the original curtains keep the interior not very dark. We made our curtains out of felt to keep the light out completely.
