Awesome rubbers! I've been eyeing the goodyear "silent armor" ones that are a nice agressive A/T with great snow/ice and durability ratings, I'll have to research these as well.
And I agree the nokian AT are nice.. tempted to get a set of those. I've got the nexen "roadian" AT/2, they are quite tough as well.. have pulled me through some very questionable terrain! They are pretty tough, too I got a nail in one and the tire shop guy that patched it did a lot of cursing about how hard it was to get a plug in there. He worked on it with the plug tool for 20 minutes and finally resorted to using a power drill
He didn't speak english and just kept cursing and saying "too tough!"

The one that seems the most promissing in my research so far is the Hancook Dynapro ATM tires, they're a pretty new tire, but they seem to be getting amazing reviews.

Re: New Goodyear tires
Finally got around to testing them out on the road/rain/greasy mud.
They are not quiet like the AT's. You can definitely hear them but they are not as loud as a full on mud tire.
I would rate them in between the BFG AT KO's and the BFG MT's for noise.
They track straight on dry pavement and stop/corner much better than the last generation MTR in the rain/wet pavement.
Thin/wet greasy mud was good. They self cleaned very easily.
You can feel the low rumble from start to about 20mph. Of course I'm sitting above the tires so the sound/vibes are more pronounced.
Will report back after a week or so of driving them around.
Was running 38 psi on the road but found out through net research that 28-32 psi is the proper air for these guys because the sidewall is very stiff.
Today was a nice rainy day. They performed well. Hard braking and hard cornering, there was no slip n' sliding which I am very impressed with.
Overall, for road manners, I prefer the Nokian AT's.
If the Nokian's were available in central/south america and more commonly in the US, then I can honestly say that I would have not parted with them.
Those looking for a new tire, I really do recommend them for our weather here in the NW.
If you want something burly, looks mean and costs a pretty penny, these new MTR's would fit the bill.
Really, time will tell how they hold up because I plan on doing a measly 30/30/20 city/hwy/offroadin' with them.

Jess I love those rims and the looks of those tires, not many mags I would actually buy but these and your last set are sweet!
