Consumer Report - automobile issue
I saw on the news tonight that the Consumer Report has just released its annual automobile issue and who'da thought they would find, yet again, that the Japanese produce the best cars
I remember 13 or 14 years ago when I was hunting for my Nissan truck I consulted their used vehicle section. One page was used vehicles to avoid and one page was good ones. The avoid page was Ford, GM, Chrysler - NO Japanese. The Good quality page was ALL Japanese. A little while back my neighbour, who drives a Chevy Suburban, sniffed at Hazel and asked with a sneer "What's the attraction?"

Happy Day!

my response would be the same as people who ask us "why do like camping so much", if you don't get it, I can't possibly explain it to you, you could never understand!

I remember one time I decided to go solo up to Sloquet via Weaver Creek road. I had not passed anyone on this trip, then I saw a big Chevy crew cab coming my way so I wound the window down and we traded news. The guy driving the truck asked me how the Delica handled, &c., whilst his wife (I presume) in the passenger seat kept warning me about how dangerous the road was and did I really want to risk it in my "little" car. I told her that I had done this before and many other of these "little cars" had also successfully passed this way. The guy was cool, he turned to her to reassure her that he figured that my truck could handle it. I believe that she meant only the best for me and that her intentions were honest ~ I suspect that she was coming from "the bigger the better" point of view.

Weaver Creek? Did you go up the wash out part, like turning right before the camp site? That road turned right back down to the main logging road at 8 K.
Most of the people don't realise that our Delicas (most of them anyway) are 4WD. They are not use to seeing a van go down rough logging road.
Bigger the better? Try this:
