Meet the Morning of Saturday February 7th

Hi Lower Mainlanders,

I have to make another trip down to the coast next weekend and was wondering if any one wanted to get together for breakfast somewhere near BC Place or in New West. Since I have no idea what is around some one suggest a place and I'll suggest 9:00 am.

Glad you can come and have time for a visit. There's quite a few place to grab breakfast by BC place but parking might be a pain. New West could work but I don't really know where to go so I'm just posting to say that I'll be there...

Not too many places near BC Place unless youre into dim sum. If you are heading outa town Sunday, might be a better idea to pick somewhere off the freeway closer to NWest/Coquitlam. A Pantry/ABC type chow house.

David, isnt there one in that spot on Lougheed by Toys R Us - Sammi J Peppers / Candain Tire side east of the Cape Horn ?

If you miss the BC Place we can meet in North Van so you can see it from Lonsdale Quay. Highly recommended.

Location is completely flexible for me. I am going to the boat show, hence BC Place, and getting the Chewy treatment in New West and just trying to keep my driving there to a minimum.

I'll love a good quality breakfast though and will travel for food!!!!

Hi James, Please stay with us at our home, aka the TardisDeli Motel (free, our guest bedroom has queen size bed, and living room sofa if you bring more bodies), just off the Gaglardi freeway exit 37 on Burnaby / Coquitlam border. Safe parking for Delii. Welcome to stay several days if you have time.

Jay and I are both working at the boat show most days. We can't make the Saturday Breakfast, or the boatshow Saturday, as we have a ham radio course.

Well well well, if you're ready to travel for good food then best breakfast I've had in the city was on the North side of Lion's Gate bridge, at the Tomahawk. Homemade bacon, mean hungry men's portion and all... James if you want to cut your driving in the city I can pick you up no problem.

I 2nd the Tomohawk - grew up 2 blocks from there and have been a regular for 42 years!!!!!! Ok, so the last few years means visiting every 6 months or so, but can't beat the breakfast at the Hawk!!!!

The Tomahawk at 9:00 am Saturday morning. Look forward to meeting everyone, and I'll bring a sign up sheet so we can schedule test drives in the gasser

James, I'm afraid that I will miss this meet. As with the crew of the TardisDeli, I too am doing the ham radio course. The food at the Tomahawk is excellent and I think you will have a good time! If you are free after four then feel free to give me a call and we can do coffee.
