Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Hi again,
Just bumping in to refresh the list... There's quite a few that changed their mind so that will make some people very happy. I would just love that at the end of the day everybody that wanted one does get one and that we're not stuck with any left... might work out!
I ditched the waiting list and put it all together. Some people that were interested still haven't replied but it should all work out.
Hopefully I haven't made any mistake and the order still makes sense!
These guys have confirmed they want one (or like Pedro already got theirs!):

David,
I don't see my name on the "later" list. I would appreciate it if I could be included when the next batch is available.
Thanks

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Had I seen kidwrecked's post yesterday I would have offered to bring the skid plates from Glen's shop to Vic - they look good on line and better in person - those who bought will be happy. Nice work!

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Have some of you guys already installed the skid plate?
Hopefully I never have to remove it again... Three of the screws were no problem, but the lower screw on the passenger side was a pain in the ass. There was just no room for tools or even my fingers :)
Well, the final result looks great and hopefully it will protect a little bit, but I doubt it will hold a proper "slide along a big rock". The skid plate itself is super solid, but the tiny, thin sheet of metal where it's mounted on won't hold much.
I still want to extend the skid plate to the left and right side to protect the rest down there, so I probably will mount the top part later properly to the frame or the bambie bars.
What was the reason to leave that much space on the left side of the skid plate?
And again THANKS A LOT to fishlapper and delicat for their effort...

Re: Skid plate, pictures...
Looks good Felix.
I do think the design is more for small rock, sticks and debris. If a rock is that big that its going to come in contact with the skid plate, Im sure as shite gonna drive around it.
I'm going to paint mine black....as soon as I locate a good aluminum primer, and I'll get to work on de-burring .
Thanks for a good looking chunk of metal Fishslapper N Delicat
