Delica in Quebec!?!

So we live in Ontario, and drove our Delica up to Maniwaki north of Ottawa in Quebec Last weekend. And on the way home ( August 3rd) we gave this lady a lift. Just as she says "...you have a nice bus" what do we see coming towards us, but a Delica. My first one since BC. I honked frantically, you can imagine my excitement! So now I wanna know who it was and where they live. Ca alors, un delica au Quebec la. T'est ou?

I know that David (Delicat) is out of the country, and probably won't see this for a while, so I'll put in that he has sent two to Quebec for his family as far as I know, so theres at least a couple more out there!

I kept one for my wife and the other one is getting pampered as we speak. My brother is coming to pick it up on Aug 29 and driving back to Quebec. I might join him for the trip back with my 17 months old boy or take the plane and wait for him in Quebec. (it'd be the 8th time I'd drive across the country, getting to know it well!)

He's getting quite a nice ride, probably the newest Delica in Canada (it's a July '93 SuperExceed). I should do a write up on the "newer 94" model 'cause they are a little different and on a very short drive without any tune up it seemed noticeably faster than the early '93 models (could be injection pump and injectors?)...

Anyway, nice to see the Delica is spreading like vine across the country!

I see this post is a few months old, but I am a Delica owner in Ottawa. Formally from Vancouver I just moved out in Spring. I've been up north of Ottawa in wakefield area many times (hoping to move there) and all the way east to QC many times and still no other Delica sightings yet, just many stunned and bewildered faces. Still have BC plates, not looking forward to putting Ontario plates on though

Almost makes me wish I was in Quebec with mine, there's something about being different than the crowd. Nothing like the left field!

Isn't that something, I would have thought all delica owners know about this site, and would go look right away. I saw no sign of recognition either, I was honking little bit, but no wave or anything. Oh well.
I also saw a Pajero near cobourg in the countryside. How nice.

Me too. Do you know what's involved? How much is an inspection. I wanna put farm plates on ours.

not yet, i'm milking the 3 months rule (before you have to switch registration) I will be moving to quebec, sooner or latter so i want to make sure I'm not switching plates twice! I believe its pretty much the same type of thing with compliance and you need a DOT Safety inspection and a "drive clean test"

I'm looking forward to seeing more like minded folks out here!
