None that I know of anyway.

Myself and EricN have talked about it for a few months but nothing concrete, just chatting on the fact that we should have one.

I got my 250 gallons tank thinking it could come helpful if we were to establish some kind of coop. I also got better than I was willing to spend on my filtration system (yet to be put together) so that it could be used heavily.

One problem I could see is the location. Unless we volunteer our own garage space, the price to rent or buy space is way to much in Vancouver and close suburbs.

I live pretty central, in Burnaby about 20 min walk from Metrotown and 20 min drive from wherever else as well... I'm sure I could come up with some space and build a shed to store the precious liquid... could also use some of the garage space but that's a premium!

Aside from everybody benefiting from the final product I like the coop idea as it brings people who think alike close together. That's a big plus.

Schwa recently posted that he had access to good quality WVO from a highend restaurant downtown...

Is anybody else itching for a coop yet?

If you guys would like I can ask my mechanic if he'd let us put a shed and a tank in his yard, perhaps in exchange for a set amount of fuel a month or something like that...
He's at Gilley/Beresford area.

I would very much like to get bio-diesel refining going as well.

Not far from David and me.

If there's only a few of us, we should get together. Sooner the better to get it off the ground.

I'm wondering as well. I don't have a WVO set up, as I want to have a source first. As soon as that comes around then I will start getting serious about doing the conversion. What is it that's needed, the actual oil, the space to store it ect? I may be able to help store it as I have half a two car garage which is not being used as my deli doesn't fit. Of course I haven't even thought of mentioning this to the wife yet, so not at all confirmed.

Even though I don't have my vehicle yet (financing and trade in of my car still to happen), I am ALLLLL over a coop or something like that. I am in North Van with limited space so I can't offer any space, but I am more than happy to drive and help out in any way I can. H opefully I can get my car traded in/sold to pick up the Delica I have my eye on, or one similar.

On another note, as a newbie (and non mechanically inclined single girl.....) where did you guys get your supplies/ conversion stuff?

www.plantdrive.ca is where I bought my components then fabbed up the rest.
If anyone wants some metal 55 gallon drums, let me know. I have access to quite a few for free. The lids do not come off.
