Sorry to be in so late on the conversation, but we will buy one as well.

We don't even have our van yet, so there's no rush on our part.

Also, I hope the price also includes your time and effort. If not, I suggest that everyone throws in some extra $$$ and / or a case of beer.

One more thing: I assume that it will allow for enough air to get through to the appropriate places and won't affect the performance of the vehicle otherwise?

Hey there.I totally understand the concern !!
I am an aircraft mechanic by trade and i do plant maitenance now so i am mechanically inclined........that said, I am not an engineer but i am hoping 20, 2 inch holes is enouogh airflow !! lol's.......

I actually wanted to do some other designs but i was worried about airflow. so.........good question. I will ask for feedback on temperatures observed during the first few days and weeks that the first one is out there. I am not thinking that this will be any issue.

This is taking way more time than i thought but i am still going to charge as little as possible. This is just a great thing..... If some want to pay a bit more than that's cool. I just have a hard time asking for money. :-D :M

We just test fitted the skid plate today and it fits nicely, we just need to increase one angle and we're good to go. Good work Fishslapper! Cost wise, the plain aluminum would be cheaper as 3 sheets could be cut at the same time while the cross checkered aluminum would need to be cut one at the time so we'll see as we go along.

We still need to work out a few other things, mainly labour issues but it's definitely getting closer. Sorry for the very extended delay, we're both new at this...

Patty, look at the 1st page on this post and you'll see pictures of the skid plate mounted which will answer your question.

Cheers!

Don't worry about how long it takes,

we're a patient lot, and we know you guys are taking your time so it's done right.

The prototype looks awesome!
