Hi guys,
I've found a Delica I'd like to purchase, it's in BC I'm in AB.
Can anyone recommend a way to exchange $$ using a third party so that both me the buyer and the seller feel safe/secure in the transaction? Anyone have experience in a situation like this?
I plan to have the Deli shipped and won't be present to do the actual transaction/deal.
Suggestions?
Thanks
Steve

What you are looking for is an "escrow" service... can't really recommend one though...
What I did when I bought my Delica (it was in BC, I was in Calgary, though it was through a dealer) was I payed through paypal using my credit card... that gave me some extra protection if something went wrong, but mainly it was a convenient way to quickly transfer money...

Thaqnks Green1 - good idea for paypal.
So as far as timing the transaction though.... did you just pay the dealer once the Deli was picked up by the delivery service? I think you mentioned before you drove yours back?
Just not sure the best way to time the payment - perhaps do the paypal once the shipper tells me it's in their hands?
As a seller would you be comfortable with this?

I dealt with an importer directly, so I had to pay for the vehicle before they would load it on to a boat from Japan... once it was here I flew out and drove back.
