you'll have no issues finding other Aussies in Canada...you folks breed like rabbits...let a few in and next thing ya know they're everywhere!...YOU know the stories about rabbits, now don't ya!? ;)

All kidding aside...there are quite a few Aussies in BC...mostly around the tourism hotspots...ski hills in winter...river rafting, whale watching tours, kayaking etc in summer...You folks have the same need for outdoor thrills that we Canadians are good for...especially Western Canadians.

Enjoy your stay here in Canada...

Yep, did that sort of thing a couple of years ago - spent a month in Whistler and got jack of all the damn Aussies around. Dropped back down to Vancouver and saw 1 Aussie for the next 9 months! Much happier with it like that!

Maybe you could install a rabbit proof fence around Whistler and direct them all in there? Keep the rest of Canada free of them then! :-D

hehe, I found a job taking dog sledding tours at the moment - out of 15 guides i think 5 or 6 are australian!

anyway, re the insurance: they just want a letter from your old insurance company stating how long you were with them and what kind of cover you had...hang on i'll find the website.

there ya go, all you needed to know.

and we ended up in canmore so we would have QUITE as many aussies around. well, not as many as whistler and banff anyway. if you come out this way before july let me know, definitely keen to meet up.
