Another option is to modify the door card. (sliding door trim panel - whatever you guys call it??)
The door card is hardboard (pulp wood/composite board?? translate if you can please?) covered in vinyl/carpet. On one L300 I modified for a friend with some WIDE wheels, I removed the door card and peeled back the vinyl on the bottom left...then cut away the hardboard in the area that the tyre rubbed. If you cut carefully, you can remove the exact amount needed without cutting through the vinyl. You are left with a flap of vinyl in the bottom left corner....but read on!
I then refitted the panel onto the door using all the normal clips most of the way around and used spray glue (proper carpet adhesive, not that art 'spray mount' crap!) to fix the 'flap' of vinly directly onto the door. I folded all the edges up (like a hem) and when finished all you could see was a ridge in the door card where the hardboard was no longer there.
The result - the door slides open really nicely now!
I'm not sure what material is on your door card, but the panel I did this on was vinyl along the bottom. I have carpet on the lowerpart of the door card on the Mystery Machine, but I imagine it would still be OK to do this??
Have a look for yourself? Another possibility! (I have a third option too....but try these two first and see how you get on?)

Re: Torsion Bar Adjustment
I recently cranked up my T-Bars and then had the front end A-lined.
However, on the passanger (left) side of the van, the adjuster is pretty much right up on the frame, I left about 1/4 inch clearance. The van looks to be pretty much level now, but what if it sags a bit more? I've not had T-bars before, so looking for some advice. I could probably replace my shockws pretty soon, but would that make much of a difference.
Thanks

Re: Torsion Bar Adjustment
Tks for option #2 Bruce. I think the portion that is rubbing on the tire is the metal part of the inside of the door. Cannot be 100% sure while sitting here in my family room - but pretty sure it's not the inside carpet / hardboard portion that is causing the problem - or at least the problem starts with the metal outer portion so adjusting the runner is likely the way to go for me. I fully plan on doing something - as I love the tires, and look, and ride - so won't be going back - but cannot see myself living with a side sliding door that only 1/2 opens. Again - will need some time but will update the post with my results asap.
Coach - I hear what you are saying, I've maxed out the TBars and fear future settlement. Mine are balanced side to side, but noticed that now the back end is slightly out (must be sagging leafs aggravated by pushing up the front end). Will have to cross that bridge in the future as far as replacing the Tbars with something more beefy...they do exist I know but don't have exact info now.
All the best.
