We have a google map to keep track of US Delica owners that I've been asking folks to add themselves to. I've recently started looking out for mechanics in US to add to the map. Could list the mechanics/shops there. Think it will be helpful to have all the info in one place in case southern/northern folks cross borders. I'll be happy to add to the map if folks list their local shops here.Lapprentis wrote:Hi, I do remember, when I was a Vanagon Owner that there was a list of the Garages/Repaired Centers, Main Parts distributors all across NA (i think) that was made by the owners so that if you travel, you can go to these places and have a Mechanic that knows or will be willing to work on your Van. Do we have anything like this here, for us ? Can someone knows what would be the best way to do it (a word document, a free update-able online page, etc.) Thanks![]()

Added. Also added CVI in vancouver and Mendel's garage in philadelphia which I knew about. Making notes for entries that also do parts.Lapprentis wrote:Furi, GREAT Idea ! Would be even more acurate if we can add a note, or make another list for Parts Sources as some Garage will only have essential parts (Fuel/oil filter-Wheels Bearings, etc.
Anywhay: Here is a Garage in Quebec City (French Speaking) suburb that do have experience with my Van: Garage Martin W. Picard
567 rue Chef-Stanislas-Koska, Wendake, QC, Canada, G0A4V0 (http://garagemartinwpicard.com).
Also, since I am buying parts from Rising Sun (they also do Mechanic): #9 - 816 Boyd Street, New Westminster, BC, Canada V3M 6N1 (http://www.rs-import.ca/index.php).
Thanks

I've bee having some pretty good success with Heritage Auto Pro. The mechanic lived and worked in Japan. Plus he has a tonne of 4x4 experience and diesel. You can't go wrong.NewDelica91 wrote:Nordo wrote:Does any one know of a garage in Calgary that does work on the L300?
I found this location. Unsure let us know either way so it can be added to the map.

As a former air-cooled and waterboxer fanatic I know precisely what you're talking about. For NA Delica.ca is about as close to it as we're getting for the MMC crowd. I used van rescue more than once and certainly spent my time on the side of the road helping others get down the road.Lapprentis wrote:Hi, I do remember, when I was a Vanagon Owner that there was a list of the Garages/Repaired Centers, Main Parts distributors all across NA (i think) that was made by the owners so that if you travel, you can go to these places and have a Mechanic that knows or will be willing to work on your Van.
