My Strada is en route! I'm planning on this truck being my summer cruiser and commuting vehicle. I am going to experiment with WMO but I'm looking for a bit more power and fuel economy. Truck has the 4d56 engine. Current plan is:
to remove the restrictive exhaust and go with a free flow Cherry Bomb or similar style
upgrade to a K&N air filter
change all drive line fluids to synthetic
may play with the washers on the waste gate to increase boost a bit
I may remove the EGR system and install blanking plates.
Please let me know what you think.

Hey Ralph,
Those all sound great, I'd love to see it once you get it to Winnipeg too! The only thing I would suggest is an EGT gauge. it is quite the asset on the 4D56 engines and goes in nicely where the EGR is removed and blanked out.

Egt guage is a must and should be an easy install, just thread the blanking plate. Which one to choose is the question..... You will not have to twist my arm to show off this truck - so excited about it. I'm in St.james by the way. Ralph

Strada arrives end of March in Vancouver. Planning to drive back to Winnipeg, should be a good chance to get acquainted and get some baseline mileage figures. Already have some parts ordered and on the way....thank goodness/curse Amazon's convenience!

Now that sounds awesome! I work in the St james area, if you ever see a white L400 series one with a blue hood, that's me.

I'll keep a look out. My current truck is a white Daihatsu Hijet honk if you see me!
